Nurses and other health professionals in Nepal are under huge pressure. Covid-19 cases are on the rise, and this week the government has extended lock down measures across most of the country’s 7 provinces. Meanwhile, hospital-based nurses are working 12-hour shifts, with limited access to protective equipment and in some cases earning no more than NR6,000 (£40) per month. We are doing our best to support them and many others through these challenging times, by donating most needed PPEs, raising awareness on the virus, and offering psychosocial support in the form of free online and telephone counselling for healthcare staff. This crisis is far from over; with your help, we will continue to be there for frontline nurses and ensure that together, we can and will win this battle.
