Dear friends, this is Mustang, in Western Nepal. Our team has been requested by the Nepalese government to start a monthly mental health outreach clinic in the heart of this region. Named “the last forbidden Kingdom”, Mustang was inaccessible to foreigners until October 1991. In this barren, high altitude corner of the Himalayas are some of the most remote villages in the world. To us at Jaya, this is an enormous privilege and responsibility. The logistics behind it are hugely complex, but we know that this might be the only chance local communities have to receive medical care. We are ready to pull our sleeves up, but we don’t have enough funds to start this journey. Will you help our doctors and nurses reach the roof of the world? A good new year resolution? A monthly donation, no matter how much, will make huge difference.
