Finally nurses and other health professionals in Nepal have started receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. This means that in addition to being protected against the virus, staff can once again begin to engage in group work, including art therapy sessions. Last week, Art Therapist Lajja Dixit and Jaya Mental Health Nurse Susmita Bogati started a new therapeutic group with nurses from the NMC psychiatric Unit, Kathmandu. Has the fight against the virus continues and if considered safe, we will expand this group and service to other nurses and health professionals from the NMC as well as other hospitals in the Kathmandu region.
