Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses visual and tactile media as a means of self expression and communication. It is a technique rooted in the idea that creative expression can foster healing and mental well-being, and therefore one of our favourite ways of engaging and supporting nurses and other healthcare staff that accesses our “My Safe Space” free workshops at Jaya Mental Health’s Kathmandu’s office. Here are some pictures of one of the many art therapy group sessions facilitated this month by our skilful and brilliant art therapist Lajja Dixit.
