Community based health care is often the only form of health support available to people living in remote parts of the world. In countries like Nepal, much remains to be done to expand existing community services, and nurses can play a key role in that process. Today, João Marçal-Grilo, UK mental health nurse and Jaya Mental Health’s Founding Director met student nurses from Bir Hospital Nursing College, Kathmandu, to discuss how nurses can be at the centre of such processes and transform health care provision in rural areas of Nepal.
