Online supervision – an option to support health professionals practising in remote areas of South Asia

For many people around the world who celebrate Christmas, this time of the year equals holidays. For most health professionals and community volunteers, it’s business as usual, and during this period all aspects of healthcare are impacted by large spikes in demand, including mental health care.

This last week of December, our Kathmandu-based team continued offering long distance supervision to our mountain-based colleagues – the only health professionals available to people affected by mental illness in remote areas of Nepal.
