The role of nurse managers is critical to staff retention and the smooth running of clinical services. However, challenging work conditions lead to widespread mental health problems and burnout among nurses, including those in management positions.

On January the 31st, Jaya Mental Health organised an Art Therapy Session for senior nurses working across different hospitals and nursing colleges in Kathmandu. Under the theme: “Thriving in a Community: Insights into How to Balance Life” and led by Art Therapist Lajja Dixit, all participants explored ways of achieving a healthy work-life balance that allows nurses to maintain their mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

Supporting nurses and other health professionals in South Asia continues to be one of Jaya Mental Health’s priorities. Our doors are opened to any health professional in need of guidance and support, so if that is you, do get in touch! www.jayamentalhealth.org.uk
