Donate today to fight the stigma around mental health

At a difficult time across the globe, Jaya Mental Health is encouraging communities and organisations to come together and give hope for human rights this Christmas. In many communities around the world, human rights are being challenged. But Jaya Mental Health is determined to fight for the rights of vulnerable people experiencing mental health issues in communities in South Asia where human rights are being violated.

Donate today and your gift will give hope for human rights this Christmas.

In moments of crisis in rural communities in South Asia, where there is no mental health care, people with severe mental illness are locked in wooden shacks and cages. This puts them at severe risk of developing further health problems, experiencing serious abuse, and dying. The stigma that surrounds mental health means that people are cut off from their communities, ignored, and mistreated.A key part of our projects is to work with local and national governments, as well as schools and communities, to change the perception of mental ill health.

We all have the human right to be protected from abuse, exploitation, and inhumane treatment.

Together we can stop stigma impacting the human rights of vulnerable people experiencing mental illness this Christmas.
