At Jaya Mental Health, we believe in the power of collaboration across borders. One of the ways we bring this to life is by creating a platform where nurses and mental health professionals from around the world can connect, learn from one another, and grow together.
We’re especially proud of our ongoing partnership with Bradford District Care NHS Trust, and are currently thrilled to be hosting Thabani Songo (Head of Nursing) and Eleanor Hinchliffe (Clinical Manager and Social Worker) on a two-week volunteer placement with us in Kathmandu, Nepal.
During their time here, Thabani and Eleanor have been working alongside colleagues at Mental Hospital Lagankhel, Bhaktapur Hospital, and our own team—sharing expertise, exchanging ideas, and exploring new ways to strengthen mental health care and nursing practices. Together, we’re looking at how to improve access to support for people living with severe mental illness in Nepal.
It’s an absolute privilege to have them with us. This is what mutual learning and global solidarity in mental health care looks like.
