Today, on World Suicide Prevention Day, we are reminded of both the fragility and the value of human life.
The violence that erupted in Nepal this week underscores how quickly peace can be shaken, how profoundly communities can be scarred, and how urgently we must care for those left most vulnerable. In times of crisis, the risk of despair, isolation, and self-harm grows even stronger.
At Jaya Mental Health, we are committed to walking alongside those at greatest risk — especially women across South Asia, who remain disproportionately affected by suicide. Every life lost is one too many, and every act of support and connection brings us closer to a future where fewer families face such heartbreak.
Today we renew our promise: to bring mental health care where it is most needed, to break the silence around suicide, and to nurture hope where it feels hardest to find.
Together, we can protect life and dignity. Together, we can make a difference.
