Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs) are the backbone of health and social care services across the Himalayan range. Over the past month and as part of our COVID-19 support campaign, we’ve been offering direct face-to-face and phone counselling services to 90 of these brave women. Despite the ongoing pandemic in Nepal, FCHVs continue visiting pregnant women and new mothers and babies in their own homes, as well as supporting hundreds of families with health and social care needs across rural Nepal. We applaud their bravery and commitment towards the communities they work with and belong too.
Thank you everyone who has been supporting our appeal. You real are making a huge difference in the lives of some of the world’s most isolated and forgotten communities.
