Why focus on mental health in South Asia?
Because mental illness in South Asia is closely linked to poverty, low quality of life, and discrimination.
Mental health support barely exists in the region. And yet providing the right support can lead to tremendous benefits.
Why our work
is so special
By focusing on long-term change, and helping those most in need, we change lives every day.
Our current projects
In South Asia, we are leading on a number of innovative projects that are helping to improve the lives of children and adults affected by a wide range of mental health problems.
These include the training of counsellors and health assistants from local initiatives, equipping volunteers to provide mental health support in rural communities, and establishing free walk-in mental health clinics.
Meet the people we help
Every year, our work is helping some of the world’s most vulnerable people affected by mental health problems and their families.
Something you can learn more about by meeting some of the individuals we’ve helped over recent years.
Support our
life-changing work
It’s only because of the generosity of people who give a gift to support our work or fundraise for us that we can make a difference to so many lives.
On top of this, we’re extremely grateful to our team of expert mental health volunteers who share their knowledge and experience to help us deliver and manage our vital projects.
